Marshall Open Recap - Oct 25th, 2022
Marshall Open Recap
There were 64 players this year that played in the 11th Annual Marshall Open. 10 divisions were represented in the field. The weather had plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures than normal for this tournament, but the wind was a brutal factor. It definitely hindered record scores.
The morning started well, with not a hint of wind. Ironically, when I blew the horn for the “two minute” until the start time, the wind starting blowing. With the first gust blowing right at the start time, it never slowed down. In fact, the 2nd round was more windy than the first.
All players, pros included, received a players pack that included a custom disc, a towel, mini, and sticker provided by Prodigy Discs. There were trophies for the winners and there were 2 baskets given away in the raffle along with a lot of other items.
We want to thank everyone who came out this year. To the City and Marshall Disc Golf club thanks for another year. Also, a big shout out to all who helped in any way (especially the Marshall Rotary Club) for the food. Last, but definitely not least, Prodigy Discs for the great job on the players packs.
