Elephant & Castle’s Lucky 13 On Line Players Meeting - Mar 11th, 2022
Elephant & Castle presents: The 14th Annual Lucky 13 Players’ Meeting:
Welcome to the 14th Annual Lucky 13! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our sponsors. Our title sponsor is Elephant & Castle Fine arms. It's worth noting that Elephant & Castle is also a tour sponsor and the title sponsor of several of this year's tournaments. We also had one new sponsor courtesy of Brett Stofer. The Permit Shop is featured on hole 1. Ask Brett for more information on the company.
Our tour sponsors for this year’s Blast Off Tour: Elephant & Castle Fine Arms, Innova Champion Discs, Creator Designs, Fossa, Millenium Golf Discs, Discmania, Greazy Dyes, Patriots Gold & Silver, Intuitive Body Works & Massage, Discs Unlimited, Dynamic Discs, and the Missouri Common Ground Alliance.
A big shout out to all the players bringing baskets! Can’t thank you enough. It will definitely make things much easier during set up and take down. I hope the good Karma will help your discs fly the way you want them to!
I would like to say a big thanks to my Team Monkey staff. They are always there on the front lines and performing miracles behind the scenes. You guys are Rock Stars. A big appreciation to the “blast from the past” Justin Hare, who helped me mark out the course on Thursday morning.
Everyone needs to check in at the main building. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you've already signed that waiver.
Regarding COVID-19, please maintain social distancing at all times before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, please form three lines, and keep at least 6 feet apart in those lines. Three people at a time will be allowed to check in. After the tournament, amateur players receiving a payout will need to form three lines, as six people will be allowed in the trailer at any one time.
Check in will begin around 8:15. Round 1 tees off at 10. Official scores for this tournament will be kept at pdga.com/score. The code is L13. Round 1 player course and hole assignments will be posted shortly after registration closes Friday night at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/57392. The staff will automatically receive the scores at tournament central. When round one is finished, pizza will be delivered to the course. Please limit yourself to 3 pieces until everyone has had a chance to eat. Round 2 SHOULD start at 2, but may change based on last card. There will be an announcement by DGM staff, and round 2 assignments will be posted on the PDGA page. Once the second round has finished, the EDGE raffle and payout will be held in the big room in the main building. There will be a $5 cash only Ace Pot. Sorry No PayPal or Venmo. If there is no Ace we will give half the pot to EDGE and either throw off or give half away in the raffle.
Innova CTP is hole 15. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 17.
If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
Course distances and OB rules: All curbs, concrete, paved paths, fences, driveways, paved parking lots, and playground equipment are OB.
A determination will be made Saturday morning based on snow accumulation on whether or not “Snow Rules” will be in effect. Snow Rules will limit OB’s if the lines are covered up and we feel the flags are to difficult to make a group decision on what is OB. We will make the determination by Check In, and we will post on FB: Ozarks Flying Disc Golf, Russel Burns, both Disc Golf Monkey pages, and my website: www.discgolfmonkey.com
