Patriot’s Gold & Silver presents: The 12th Annual Monkey Trap Open sponsored by Dynamic Discs
Players Meeting:
** Updated Check In and Start Time 7:30 check in and 9:30 start time because of two temporary holes being added.
Welcome to the 12th Annual Monkey Trap Open! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our title sponsor: Patriot’s Gold & Silver. Dynamic Discs is also our disc manufacturer sponsor and did an incredible job on the players pack shirts and discs.
Our tournament hole sponsors helped a bunch this year. Thank you all for the support:
59 flyers , DGO, Dasun Keylor, Natural State Printing Co., Cappy Harris Realtors, Mike Mcbee, Trichotos Makroloukaniko, and Healthcare Patient Advocates, LLC
We’d also like to thank all of our tour sponsors this year as well: Elephant & Castle Fine Arms, Innova Champion Discs, Creator Designs, Fossa, Millenium Golf Discs, Discmania, Cyclebar Springfield East, 8Up, Intuitive Body Works, Swing Right Golf, Discs Unlimited, Dynamic Discs & Patriots Gold & Silver.
Everyone needs to check in at the Dynamic Discs store. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you already signed this.
Speaking of COVID-19, please maintain social distancing before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, we will limit the number of players in at a time. There will be water stations and water jugs on several holes. It seems that it may be cooler than normal but stay hydrated any way. Please do not take the lids off the water jugs. After the tournament, amateur players receiving a payout will need to line up in the back of the mobile trailer, and staff will again limit the number of players in to shop.
Scores for the tournament should be kept on the PDGA website. Player course and hole assignments are already posted at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/51806. The link to online scoring is https://pdga.com/score/. The access code is MTO. Please have one person only record the card scores to pdga.com. DGM staff will receive them at tournament central. Again, Round 1 Tee Off is at 9:30. When round one is finished, everyone is on their own for lunch. Round 2 should start at 2, but will be determined by the last card in. Player course and round assignments will once again be posted to the PDGA event page, and scores should be kept on pdga.com. Per PDGA rule, if anyone should require a paper scorecard, they can be made available by DGM staff.
Rules for the courses are listed below. Unbranded CTP is hole 9A and the Trilogy-only CTP is hole 9B. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
